Privacy

Xenon does not collect data, because there is nowhere for it to go. There is no account to create, no server Xenon talks to, and no analytics or crash-reporting SDK bundled into the app or this website.

Every screenshot, every copied piece of text, and the on-device OCR search index that makes them findable are stored only in a folder on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is synced, and nothing is shared with Ashish Gogula, the developer, or anyone else.

Copies from password managers are skipped automatically, and you can exclude any other app’s clipboard in Settings. Xenon never requests Screen Recording permission: it only captures what you deliberately screenshot or copy.

You can limit how far back Xenon remembers to 30 or 90 days in Settings, or clear everything it has stored with one click. Uninstalling the app removes its local data with it.

Purchases are processed by a third-party payment provider (Polar), which handles your payment details and receipt email. Xenon itself never sees or stores your card information.

Questions about this policy can go to ashish@ashishgogula.in. See also Contact and the FAQ.
